Happy New Year!

Yeah, I know. It's the third. It has been 2016 for more than two days now. But the piece I wrote for the Boston Herald, which you can find by clicking this link and going to their website, is about the New Year, so...

Happy New Year! I hope God's blessings become abundantly clear to you during this year!

And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for coming here to read me. I apologize for sending you someplace else to read me, but that's why they pay me over there and I do like that.

Soon, with more better stuff.

I tried leaving a comment at BH but it kept kicking me out. Great article and I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who feels the same about Bruce Springsteen's rendition of that song. I do agree. This year is going to be a great one. We're all inhaling and exhaling. That's a pretty good start, yes? Happy New Year to you!

Until you mentioned it, I hadn't heard Springsteen this season.
Now there's an earworm I will be hearing all day.
Curse you, Sullivan!!!

Jeez, first you beat up on our NY teams, then you totally diss New Jersey's The Boss!

Happy new year anyway!

2016 is also a leap year, and an Olympic year!

But. . . Humph! Our Detroit pro sports teams haven't given us much to shout about recently, other than the Red Wings maintaining their run of 378 (or whatever it is) consecutive playoff appearances. But the Wings and Pistons are trending upwards in ways they haven't for a while. And the Lions didn't suck the second half of the season. . .

Now, my Spartans. . . Ah, yes, my Spartans. . .

And why would you think I have clothes on?

This is the year that you and your Dear Wife have "the" anniversary date to celebrate.
Happy 2016 to you both.
Hugs,
J.

That was a fun article to read. As a Jersey Girl native, I am allowed to have an authoritative opinion on Springsteen. Lyrics: YES. Can he sing, NO. But: the folk singer of the Jersey Shore, and lots of heart: Yes. Clarence filled a room with his bright presence, and I enjoy hearing his solo in the Santa song.

I want to make it clear that I don't hate Springsteen completely; just that version of that song. It grates on me like no other of his.

I spoke everything in jest! Except for how wonderful Clarence C. filled a room. dang internet: nobody can hear TONE! ;)
