Thanksgiving Comes First
If you've been coming here for any appreciable length of time, you know what the headline is about. If not, you can find out by reading my piece in today's Boston Herald.
As always, I love you (unless you disagree with me, in which case I still love you but I don't have as much respect for you as I would have the other way around.)
Soon, with more better stuffing.

Agreed. Maybe i will post this as my Spark tomorrow.
As always - Thank you, Jim.
I do notice that fewer stores will be open on Thanksgiving ~ which I would love to attribute to the Thanksgiving Comes First campaign....but sadly I think it's because they've finally figured out that people can shop from home these days and it's not cost effective to open.
I love Thanksgiving. We are driving hundreds of miles this year to gather with the family to celebrate. We're even taking the dog, haha. Christmas doesn't exist for me yet, which is difficult because I have a co-worker who is a huge fan of Christmas and has already started the music. Now, if only I could figure out how to transfer her (temporarily of course) to another dimension.
AMEN !!!!! AMEN !!!! AMEN !!!!! Linda from Tn.
We are seeing a few Christmas commercials on TV already, and yes the Christmas merchandise is popping up in the stores all around, I'm with you on Thanksgiving 100% and I do plan on celebrating it first. I really joined your article, as always Well Done.
Always a pleasure to hear kind words regarding my Thanksgiving posts. I am (of course) thankful!
I'm at an age where I'm not really in a celebratory mood most of the time, so it's not going to be an issue to enjoy Thanksgiving before the Christmas holiday.
With one exception.
I love Christmas music. I don't listen to it when there are other people around, though. It's reserved for my car while I'm out and about and I've been known to stick a karaoke CD in the stereo in the momcave.
But I promise not to do any shopping or sprinkle any tinsel around until after December 11th.
Nice to see you're on the TCF bandwagon again, keep up the good work! We had our Thanksgiving last month when the weather was a lot nicer. Anyway, have a great time, and then you can get all the sparkly Chrismassy stuff out of the large cardboard box in the basement the following weekend.
