SWAT Team Just Left Our House

Some 10 to 12 SWAT team members are now on our street, mostly in camo fatigues, some in black, an armored vehicle, going door-to-door, S-L-O-W-L-Y, searching every house, yard, garage, and wherever else they want because when you have the cannons they're carrying nobody's going to tell you "No, please don't go in there."

Honestly, I'm glad they've made the sweep here. That means there's a good probability the suspect is NOT here, and now I can truly get some sleep.

I won't soon forget the sight of two smiling men with machine guns on our front porch.

(They were smiling, yes. They were obviously trying very hard to keep folks as calm as possible.)

Soon, with something or other.

Although we've just seen this latest thing on the TV news, when I think of you opening the door to police with machine guns in their hands....... it suddenly hits home.
It is a truly awful business and I hope it gets resolved very soon without further incident.

Jeez, I remember writing a bit about a fictional Watertown Whacko, but never thought it would come to this. Stay safe, Jim. I have a feeling it'll be over soon. Dude won't see another sunset.

I hope he doesn't get killed or kill himself. I hope he's captured.... the world needs to know why, and how, and what made them do this horrible thing, and who their friends are......

I've been thinking about you ever since it all happened. Glad to hear you are safe and glad to hear they seem to have found the people responsible. We once had armed police outside our front gate after a robbery -- it was totally weird -- xxoo to both of you...

As with everyone else, we are *so* incredibly grateful to know that you and YOUR WIFE are OK, that your home and your immediate area has been safely cleared, and that you feel safe enough to take a nap!

You and YOUR WIFE, along with all of your neighbors, were in our prayers all through the night, and into today.

(((happy hugs!))) Thim

What a nightmare for all of you and all because one 19-year-old with explosives and nonsense inside is on the loose. Hoping life will get back to normal...whatever that is...soon for all of you.

Smile and S.W.A.T. are not terms I would regularly put in the same sentence
They must have been smiling because they were relived to see it was just another routine door knock
I can't imagine what it is like to be locked down in one's own home
Glad you and WIFE are okay

Omg Jim. Stay put. Be well. I hope this ends soon, and peacefully. What a terrible week.

I thought about the both of you all last night, ever since this madness began around 2300 hrs MDT. Stay safe, Jim.

Praying all is well, for you and everyone in the area. Except, of course, the accused.

Now there's an experience I hope never to have. . .
