Seriously, the person I talk about is an amazing writer of Boston histories loaded with fascinating collections of vintage photographs and illustrations, and anyone in this area - even SPECIFALLY in their own neighborhood - would find them extremely entertaining. At least, I certainly have.

After such a generous review, i hope he sends you an autographed copy of his next book. Every city and town needs such a dedicated historian.
I love reading those sorts of local history books. Never forget the past, important to remember what went before.
Mimi - He's a wonderful author, but just as good a lecturer. I've attended a few of his talks on various subjects and they are wonderfully entertaining.
Shammickite - Absolutely. When history is forgotten, we often end up wasting our time making the same mistakes our ancestors made. Very important to remember.
