Happy Thanksgiving Day!

As is usual for me, this is a day of rest, relaxation, good food and football. I wish you the same.

Meanwhile, I have a column in the Boston Herald today. It contains some advice concerning how to keep your celebration restful, relaxing, tasty and... whatever adjective applies to football in your case. I hope you enjoy it.

HERE'S A HANDY LINK!

Thanks for stopping by. And Happy Thanksgiving!

Soon, with more better stuffing.

We are in, if anyone talks politics, he/she will be ignored. Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our Thanksgiving on Sunday and managed about 18 people without a political comment, but a sign would have been a good idea. Today will not feel like Thanksgiving until football starts, and it looks like Detroit may win this year, also very un-Thanksgiving like.

Happy Thanksgiving.

BTW, your last line was well crafted and brilliant.

"Turkey 'trumps' hate" was possibly not the way to put it! ;-) Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and that even Christmas wasn't mentioned! xo

@joeh - (*Ahem*). . . That would be, uh, first-place Detroit, thankyouverymuch. . .

Our family doesn't do politics, much (and thank God for that!). I am firmly of the opinion that the part of my life that is directly effected by politics is blessedly small (or at least, ought to be). We made it all the way through the day without politics coming up once, until I called my Mom in California. . .

Another enjoyable piece of writing, Jim. I hope your Thanksgiving Day went as planned and there weren't any unexpected politically inspired punch-ups. And nobody ended up wearing the cranberry sauce.
Now that TD is over you can get started on Christmas!
