If You Were A Bear, Where Would You Have Been Last Night?

Well, where else? Parked right in front of the TV, rooting on your favorite team, the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins, of course!

From one set of bruins to another...

Congratulations!

Soon...

Yep. The B's were on fire last night without a doubt. As I swear I lip-read from one of 'em...

F***in' A - Right!

The BBC actually broadcast the results of the game here in the UK!!! -- due to the kerfuffle in the streets of Vancouver afterward. I immediately thought of you and that you would be cheering and also hoped you were not there and in the midst of the ruckus. Glad you were safe and sound at home going crazy with joy;-)

I'm happy for you, Sully. I hadn't realized that they'd not won since '72.. and that was when I remember cheering for them like crazy. So despite our own Canadian loss, I was really glad to see your Bruins take it.

It was a good night, a better game, and one HELLA series! I thought about ya... often... during the game. Srsly.

That said, I have an old, old Air Force bud who was born and raised in Boston. He and his wife were through P-Ville this past weekend whereupon we caught up and fixed the world. He called last night during the second intermission just to say "FUCKIN' A!" And then we laughed...

Good for the Bruins! One of the original six.
I didn't watch the game, but turned it on halfway through the 3rd, saw it was 3-0, so turned it off again and went to bed!
I am thoroughly disgusted at the riots that took place in the streets of Vancouver after the game. It was probably just a few hooligand intent on making trouble that started it, but then it snowballed to a huge riot. Absolutely disgusting.

Congratulations Boston!

The Bruins played better, they had much more class (Luongo needs to learn when to shut the hell up). The best team definitely won this time.

I'm not a rabid fan and I was cheering for Vancouver at first as a default (being Canadian and all), but Boston deserved to win and I'm glad they did.

Kudos to you and congratulations once again.

As for the riots, I'm ashamed to be Canadian this morning. And I can't even say it's a west coast thing, because the same thing happened in Montreal a few years back. The police need to crack down. Hard.

Congrats to yer Broonz, and well-played!

I say, let's take up a collection and let one of the Canadian teams win one sometime soon, eh? But of course, not at the expense of YOUR team (or mine). . . (And Toronto has still been waiting longer than y'all. . .)

And hey, yer Conn-Smythe goalie is a Michigan boy, ain't he? (Between him and Ryan Miller and Marty Turco, we're really turnin' out the goalies these days, aren't we?)

Way to go Bruins!

(No, there are no cashing in on rain checks for bets)

What they said... and the better team did win.
Oh, and if you read a post about ticket prices over at Buck's blog, I think you might gain a small understanding of the discontent in Vancouver.

That said, if I were a Bear I would be wondering just how far the UC Berkley baseball squad is going to go in the CWS, considering they weren't even originally a bracket team.
Anyway... Go Bears!

I have to admit, I was rooting for the B's, the only Boston team I don't loathe (although I did root for the Celtics against the Heat -- but that was more a "lesser of two evils" thing, like when the Mets and Red Sox played in the World Series, or when Mike Tyson sued Don King).

Vancouver is a bunch of schmucks and douchebags. I would've loved for Thomas to fire back at Luongoal.

"Maybe Roberto would've stopped that one OT goal, but I'm pretty sure I'd have stopped at least eight or so of the twelve he gave up in games three and four."
