I'm Just Everywhere!

Here's another place you can find me - today's Boston Herald (I understand the link wasn't working before, but now I've fixed it. Thanks, Ami, for the help!)

It's about The Olympics. I hope you enjoy it!

OK, I have some donuts to eat. See you soom.

(probably with more better stuff.)

Hey Barbara, try this link..

We watch the Olympics. Record on DVR, fast forward through anything Boob Costas has to say, fast forward to the end of long races, rewind if we miss something.

I really dislike the way NBC covers the Olympics. The subject of still another rant for me.

There's a rumour out there that eating donuts does not count as olympic training! ;-)

Maybe there's a donut eating contest out there that's just right for you.

As you say, it is amazing to watch the olympics and players from different cultures come together. It is very inspiring to see them devote so much time and effort to excel at their sport and dreams!!! I enjoy watching figure skating, gymnastics and swimming while eating chips :)

I love the Olympics! And as I'm somewhat disabled right now owing to recovering from hip surgery, I have plenty of time to cheer on my favourite athletes. GO CANADA GO! Did you know that out of 13 medals won by Canada so far (as I write this) 12 of them have been won by women???? Go ladies!
The athletes are encouraging me to do my physio excersises so I don't have to use the walker and the cane any more. Just walking to the end of my street is a challenge right now.... but those athletes are inspiring me. Now I have to go and do my excersises again.... I'll be doing the marathon in a few days.
BTW Jim lad, nice article, you are becoming a well known name at the BH.

I used to be an Olympics junkie, largely because of all the cool sports that you only get to see every four years. And the whole 'All-World' aspect of it is pretty cool, too. But I've gotten disillusioned by the jingoism (like you say, they rarely show events that don't feature Americans on the medal stand; and the phony 'medal counts'; a 'my country is better than your country' kind of thing, which really isn't the Olympic ideal at all) and the doping. Doping has just about ruined cycling, and it damn near ruined baseball. It's hard to watch when you're constantly wondering whether the winners are clean or not. . .
