I don't know when I ...A wonderful column, Jim. I don't know when I first formed the habit, but whenever I talk to Jen or one of the kids, I always make sure to tell them that I love them. Even if their response is 'Bullshit!' (which it has been, once or twice). . .<br /><br />It's coming up on three years now, since my dad died, at 89. The raw sense of, 'Dear God, I miss him' has mostly, by now, passed into gratitude for him having been my dad, and for having known and benefitted from knowing him for as long as I did.
