To be truthful, though, that's a minor part of what I do to earn a living. I get perhaps four or five of those jobs a year. Most of my work is for telephone systems, the type where you get put on hold and hear someone telling you (I like to think) useful information about the place you're calling. I also tell people to "Press 1 for this, press 2 for that", etc. In addition, I am the recorded telephone voice for a chain of movie theatres called National Amusements, with my voice on their telephone lines in some 20 or 25 states.

It's mostly very low profile - nobody knows my name, but many people hear my voice.

Here's something with more details.

http://jimsuldog.blogspot.com/2005/08/vo-ho.htmlSuldoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07778845367184916684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329973.post-72552502002805710682008-05-09T20:11:00.000-04:002008-05-09T20:11:00.000-04:00Jim - I am now fascinated to know what you do for ...Jim - I am now fascinated to know what you do for a job that requires you to use your voice!

Great post (again) and you rival David with your puns and titles - love it.

Love your WIFE too - I'd do the same for my hubby. She's probably more interested and knows more about the sport than you think. ;0)
Can't believe the hierarchy thing - what's the point when it is so rigged? *Mind boggles*Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01247084030899971480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329973.post-14531133800754019362008-05-09T11:59:00.000-04:002008-05-09T11:59:00.000-04:00Your wife sounds like a truly sacrificing spouse -...Your wife sounds like a truly sacrificing spouse - lucky man!

David sent me by.Madam Crunchypantshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11105080184570652882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329973.post-53757537870433098892008-05-09T09:32:00.000-04:002008-05-09T09:32:00.000-04:00Well now that curiosity has killed the cat.
