Heck, you know,...Awww, thanks for this, Sully. . .

Heck, you know, Stuart Sutcliffe played bass for the freakin' BEATLES, fer cryin' out loud, an' he used to turn his back on the audience, so they couldn't see that he couldn't play a lick. Eventually, one of the other band members picked up the bass, and did a little better. . .

I picked up the bass maybe 20 years ago, when the guy that used to play for our worship meetings left town, and we didn't have a bass player anymore. I didn't know anything more than that the four strings on the bass were the same as the four bottom strings on a guitar, but an octave lower, and just sorta taught myself from there. I don't think I'm terribly skilled (or, you know, maybe I am, you know, terribly skilled, if you know what I mean), but I can fit in with the other musicians, and not embarrass myself. . .

An' lissen, I did all my 'allegorizing' in yesterday's comment, which ought to have been embarrassing enough. . .Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12044041773404411751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329973.post-79788838035035698642011-11-04T09:44:55.269-04:002011-11-04T09:44:55.269-04:00You are one of the best storytellers I know ..You are one of the best storytellers I know ..Darylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08241795455748298624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15329973.post-37710416415609535942011-11-04T09:12:10.464-04:002011-11-04T09:12:10.464-04:00Ah, the sign of a good storyteller.
