Or double decker GO commuter trains are quiet and cell phone free on the upstairs level..... so refreshing! Chat all you like downstairs on the lower level. Loved this story.

Thanks! You Canadians have always been a bit more ahead of things, insofar as respecting other's space is concerned.

God bless you Jim. I'm always dumbfounded by folks whose attitude toward the universe and everyone else in it amounts to, "the rules don't apply to me". . . 'Cuz see, they're just that much more special than the rest of us. . .

(And I have to confess, the image of her body bouncing down the tracks back toward Boston was more satisfying than it probably should have been. . .)

She probably chose the quiet car in which to have her talk so that she could hear better. After all, in the other cars, i'll bet you can hardly hear yourself think, much less hear what the other person on the phone is saying.

Tough. She needs to not be in the quiet car.

Indeed, Mimi. When you choose to be a certain way, you have to go where that certain way is acceptable. I've learned that, over and over, as a smoker - and I don't smoke inside non-smoking areas. Same principle applies.

Ah, yes....the folks who believe they are beyond the rules of polite society.
