Merry Christmas!

I have one thing to say: If you're here on Christmas, with nothing better to do than read me, God bless you. I wish I had something amazing, to make your day a pleasure, but the best I can offer is a road trip.

Go to the Boston Herald and read my column about basketball and death.

Yeah, I know. They don't usually go together, but they did for me, last week, and... well, it's over there on the website and maybe it will make sense when you see it.

God bless you again,  for liking me enough to come here on Christmas. I like you, too. Now go away.

Soon, with more better stuff.

Merry Christmas, my friend.
I wouldn't be here, except it's too soon to start cooking breakfast.

Nice piece, Sully.

Funny, isn't it, how attached we get to our favorite players? In these parts, we're still grief-stricken and bewildered over the Doug Fister trade. Or Chauncey Billups. Or heck, Bobby Layne. . .

You and I will both miss Buck Pennington, and for similar reasons. Gentlemen who will speak their mind respectfully and stay friends even when they disagree (even vehemently) are getting rarer and rarer. . .

Merry Christmas to you and yours, my friend. . .

A nice piece of writing, and a nice tribute to Buck Pennington. I hope his sons read it. They must be proud of their dad. And also proud of you for writing this.
I hope Christmas was good to you and your family, Jim, and you get loads of BH writing gigs in 2015..... you're doing pretty well so far!
