Happy Thanksgiving!

I am, of course, wishing YOU a Happy Thanksgiving. On top of that, though, it's a nice one for me, professionally. My piece about Thanksgiving shopping was published in the Los Angeles Times, thus making me (when taking into account my semi-regular appearances in the Boston Herald) a coast-to-coast crank.

As usual, anything nice you have to say, at the website or - may you get an extra drumstick! - via a letter to the editor, is appreciated. If you disagree with what I have to say and you keep your pumpkin piehole closed about it, that would also be a nice thing :-)

[Boycott Black Thursday is a great site for best up-to-the-minute news on the issue]

So, once again, a Very Happy Thanksgiving to you. I'm always thankful to have you as a reader.

I couldn't find the comments section at the Times. I'm not exactly illiterate about these inter-tubes, so it HAS to be them. ;-)

Good piece, as always, Jim.

I found the comment section but couldn't sign in. There are a lot of opposing opinions out there but your voice speaks loud and clear and well.

Happy Thanksgiving to YOU and YOURS, Jim.

Great article in the L A Times, and I hope you get lots of positive comments, but I couldn't comment as it wanted me to use twitter but as I know nothing about Twitter (and don't want to know) I will just leave my comment here.... keep up the good work and I hope the L A Times (and the venerable BH of course) will give you lots more opportunities to blow your own horn!! Wow that was a long sentence.

How wonderful for the LA Times to run your piece! I had read it before ~ a wonderful piece, for a holiday that I love.

Wonderful piece Suldog! Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in India, Retailers/MNCs are greedy everywhere and many of my holidays get cut off in my work, which is definitely not crucial.

As we previously discussed, I did not shop (and would not) on Thanksgiving day. However, I did make it out on Friday (when I felt like getting out of bed) where I found a much more civilized shopping experience than in years past.

Plus... they restocked some of the shelves and the things they were out of at 8 am they had in stock by noon.

win, win. :)
